Deutsche Börse’s Investment in Digital Vault Services
Clearstream, Deutsche Börse’s post-trade business, has announced an investment in the fintech start-up Digital Vault Services (DVS). This strategic move is pending regulatory approvals and finalization of legal documentation.
Investment Details
- The funding from Clearstream will enable Digital Vault Services to enhance its market infrastructure solutions for corporates and financial institutions.
- Deutsche Börse will acquire a minority stake in Digital Vault Services as part of the investment.
- The investment is expected to be completed in the second half of 2024.
Collaboration Benefits
Upon completion, Digital Vault Services’ “Guarantee Vault” will be integrated with D7, the digital post-trade platform of Deutsche Börse and Clearstream. This integration will expand D7’s digital asset product offerings beyond securities.
“Digital leadership is a key component of Deutsche Börse Group’s Horizon 2026 strategy,” said Jens Hachmeister, head of issuer services and new digital markets at Clearstream.
