Galactic Group Launches AAA Web3 Game Publisher in the UAE

The Galactic Group is set to launch an AAA Web3 game publisher in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with the support of top talent from Hollywood and the gaming industry. This new venture, named Galactic Entertainment Publishing, is the first division of the Galactic Group, founded by industry visionary Loren Roosendaal. The goal is to revolutionize the gaming industry by introducing play-to-own publishers and elevating Web3 gaming to Triple-A status.

Planet Quest – Galactic Group’s First Title

The flagship title under Galactic Entertainment Publishing is Planet Quest, which has been in development since 2022 and has already garnered a dedicated fanbase. Over 300,000 connected wallets, with more than 200,000 holding PlanetQuest NFTs, demonstrate the strong community support for the game.

The development team includes industry veterans from Epic, Disney, Warner Bros., and Activision-Blizzard, with credits in major franchises like Fortnite, Call of Duty, Star Wars, The Batman, Avengers, and Blade Runner. The involvement of over 250,000 fans in co-creating the game’s storyline and lore has been instrumental in shaping the experience.

Chief Creative Officer Jon McCoy highlights the unique collaboration with fans, stating, “It’s been amazing getting to create a sci-fi universe with the fans in a way that’s never been attempted before.”

The Play-to-Own Revolution

Galactic Entertainment Publishing is at the forefront of the play-to-own revolution, leveraging blockchain technology and NFTs to provide players with true ownership of in-game assets. Co-Founder Mark Meyers emphasizes the importance of community involvement and rewarding players for their contributions.

Roosendaal aims to address the issues of in-game item ownership and excessive spending by players, stating, “It’s crazy to think that players are spending over $100 billion each year on in-game items they don’t actually own.”
