PancakeSwap Launches “Affiliate” Initiative in DeFi Community

Decentralized exchange (DEX) and decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol PancakeSwap has introduced an “Affiliate” initiative to the DeFi community. This initiative aims to foster open-source scalability, promote collaboration across multiple blockchain networks, and keep the protocol updated with industry developments.

Introduction of the Affiliate Initiative

The team at PancakeSwap has proposed an initiative where DeFi protocols can fork PancakeSwap on blockchains where it is not currently deployed. This initiative will allow forks of PancakeSwap onto chains that do not already have the exchange and platform deployed.

Goals of the Initiative

• Encourage scalability for the exchange
• Promote collaboration across blockchain networks
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments

The team aims to partner with at least three DEXs on three chains this year, with each being in the top ¼ by trading volume on their respective chains long-term.

Community Feedback and Voting

The proposal is currently open for community feedback. PancakeSwap is working towards finalizing it for official voting in the upcoming weeks, following comprehensive feedback collection and analysis by the team.

The “Affiliate” initiative encourages forks onto various blockchain networks to scale the growth of the PancakeSwap protocol exponentially to new blockchains faster, supporting strong DeFi teams that can rely on the unique and improving PancakeSwap all-in-one DeFi product suite.
